The agreement, which has been facilitated by the High Growth and Entrepreneurs group of Barclays, will see the bank provide help to HBA in its aim to support entrepreneurs that have applied for seed finance to grow their businesses.

Barclays will have the opportunity to participate in mentoring of entrepreneurs and events that prepare entrepreneurs to present to HBA whilst entrepreneurs will be able to access Barclays’ expanding proposition of dedicated support, connections and products tailored for their specific needs.

Paul Boswell, High Growth Specialist at Barclays, said: “Barclays has a strong track record in supporting scale-up businesses and is uniquely placed to help and support ambitious businesses and their founders at all stages of growth. We’re pleased to start this partnership in Henley, which in turn will also help strengthen the angel community in the region, crucial to sustainable economic development.”

Jurek Sikorski, founder and Director of Henley Business Angels commented: “The partnership with Barclays represents a real value addition to the support HBA provides entrepreneurs and what makes it an exciting proposition is that we share the same ambition to help entrepreneurs succeed.”
