Henley Business Angels Announces Partnership with Banking Giant, NatWest, in Mission to Fuel Startup Growth

Henley Business Angels (HBA) has a core ethos centred around supporting entrepreneurship and fostering innovation, which is why they are delighted to announce their new strategic sponsorship partnership with NatWest, one of the UK’s largest retail and commercial banks, with a reputation for enhancing the startup ecosystem.

This partnership represents a significant milestone for Henley Business Angels, providing the opportunity to leverage NatWest’s expertise, resources and extensive network to empower its members and portfolio companies to thrive and succeed from startup to exit.

Both members and entrepreneurs will gain access to NatWest’s comprehensive suite of banking and financial services, including products, services and initiatives relevant to the entrepreneurial ecosystem; some of the many benefits of joining the Henley Business Angels community. Not only this, but HBA members will also have the chance to participate in NatWest’s educational workshops, networking events and industry seminars to enhance their knowledge and skills.

From incubator spaces to accelerator programmes such as the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator, from digital tools and technology to business banking services, NatWest has a formidable offering for startup support, and Henley Business Angels is delighted to be sharing these opportunities with their members and portfolio founders. NatWest will also be joining HBA’s quarterly Investment Readiness Workshop to help prepare entrepreneurs for fundraising and provide advice on improving their financial position.

This sponsorship partnership with NatWest reaffirms Henley Business Angels’ commitment to enhancing the startup ecosystem through fostering entrepreneurship, facilitating investment opportunities, and driving economic growth. Together, NatWest and Henley Business Angels look forward to nurturing a long-term partnership, working in unison to empower entrepreneurs, unlock potential and create lasting impact in the startup community.

David Askew, Relationship Director at NatWest, is looking forward to working with Henley Business Angels, saying Creating and building networks are crucial to the start-up and SME community, that’s why partnerships like this between NatWest and HBS play such an important role in helping businesses achieve their goals.

This partnership has the opportunity to help operators across a variety of sectors in the region and we look forward to helping many realise their full potential.

Christopher Rees, Co-Managing Director of Henley Business Angels, was thrilled with the partnership, saying “We are delighted to partner with such a major player in the banking and finance sector, and NatWest in particular has built a reputation in supporting entrepreneurs and driving innovation. This strategic collaboration will provide our members and portfolio companies access to valuable resources, expertise and networking opportunities to accelerate growth and help achieve their goals.”
